Excel 2016 Automating with Macros
This course gives an introduction to macros in Microsoft Excel. Using macros, you can automate repetitive tasks and gain more control over how you work with data. This course focuses on the basics of creating and running macros and also introduces students to Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), an advanced tool for creating and editing macros through coding.
Who Should Attend
In order to automate functionality in Excel, it is important for students to first have a solid understanding of what Excel is and is not capable of. For this reason, this Power Hour is not recommended for beginners. However, creating macros requires very little to no experience writing formulas and manipulating data, so less experienced users can still benefit from the power and efficiency that macros allow.
The goal of this Power Hour is to introduce students to the concept of creating macros and teach them how to use macros efficiently. Students will also receive a brief introduction to VBA. By the end of this course, you will be able to create macros for a variety of purposes and will be ready to start exploring VBA in more depth.
