Course Overview

This course will demonstrate how to use PowerPoint to create Tables and Charts with very little knowledge of Excel required. Students will learn how to enrich their presentations by creating Tables and inserting charts that summarize Excel data.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for those who may need to present data easily without having extensive experience with Excel. Students will be most comfortable if they are already familiar with PowerPoint, as this course requires some experience working with the application’s interface and creating and editing slides.

Course Objectives

The goal of this course is to show students how to create, format, and modify tables in PowerPoint, as well as how to create, format, and modify charts based on tables. By the end of this session, you will be able to enhance you PowerPoint presentations with data analysis. Many of these skills, especially with charts, are easily transferrable to Microsoft Word and Excel as well.

  • Creating and Formatting Tables - Learn how to insert a table and apply a table style.
  • Modifying Tables - Learn how to add and delete columns/rows and how to resize them. Learn how to merge and split cells and how to position the table on your slide.
  • Creating Charts - Learn how to turn your tables into charts and how to add and modify different chart elements.
